The team behind Magika
Magika Liveaboard is operated by Komodo Luxury, part of Juara Holding Group, working out of Labuan Bajo since 2015. Seasoned mariners, licensed dive and snorkel guides, and a galley crew who provision this boat every week.

Ten years in these waters
We are not a booking platform with a boat attached. Magika is one vessel in a managed fleet, crewed by people who sail the same 40 nautical miles of Komodo National Park most weeks of the dry season and know every anchorage in it by name.
That matters more than it sounds. Route decisions in Komodo are made by tide and wind, not by brochure. A crew that has run the Kalong-to-Padar leg two hundred times knows which night to move early, which anchorage stays flat in a westerly, and when to swap Manta Point for Taka Makassar.
Where the experience shows
Route planning
The long legs are sailed overnight and the overnight anchorages are chosen for water state, not scenery. That is the single biggest lever on how a phinisi week feels.
Vessel maintenance
Fleet-grade maintenance standards, a 30 KVA generator with an emergency set, and GPS navigation — the specification is published, not implied.
Guiding
Licensed dive and snorkel guides, included on every published package. Up to three dives daily on the diving packages, with tanks and weights.
The galley
Provisioned ashore in Labuan Bajo before every departure. Allergies and special diets are handled at booking, because there is no resupply at sea.
Safety
Life jackets for the full manifest, GPS, an emergency generator and a captain’s briefing at boarding. Ask for the equipment list — we will send it.
Transparency
A published rate card, a stated maximum guest number and an explicit exclusions list. You can check every claim on this site before you pay anything.

Everything here is checkable
Trust in this industry is not earned with adjectives. It is earned by publishing numbers that can be held against you: 26.74 metres, nine cabins, 22 guests maximum, six crew, USD 4,700 to USD 13,850 for the whole boat.
We would rather tell you which trips this boat is wrong for — one-night charters, solo budget travel, anyone expecting a spa and a stabilised steel hull — than sell you the wrong week. The honest version of that comparison lives on is a luxury Komodo liveaboard worth it.
