Magika is booked with a 50% deposit, with the balance due 30 days before departure. Bookings placed a year ahead can stage payment at 30% upfront, 20% at 120 days and the balance at 30 days. The deposit is non-refundable on cancellation. Whole-boat rates run USD 4,700 to USD 13,850 on the 2026 card and USD 5,300 to USD 15,400 on the 2027 card; 2027 private diving starts at USD 11,000.

Reading a Komodo quote properly
- Check the guest band. A quote for “up to 15 guests” at the 11–15 rate is not the same product as a 16–20 quote.
- Check the year. The 2027 diving card is roughly 15% above 2026 and the 2027 sailing card roughly 12% above; make sure the quote states which applies.
- Check what “all-inclusive” excludes. In Komodo it always excludes the park.
- Check the cancellation line. If it is not written down, it is not a policy.
- Ignore round numbers. Real rate cards look like USD 7,150 and USD 9,950, not USD 7,000 and USD 10,000.

What happens if the weather cancels my trip?
Weather decisions rest with the captain. December to March carries the highest cancellation risk. Discuss the operator’s re-scheduling practice in writing before you pay, and carry travel insurance.
Are park fees included in the quoted rate?
No. Komodo National Park entry is IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per visit under PP 36/2024, and IDR 50,000 on weekdays or IDR 75,000 on weekends and public holidays for Indonesian visitors.
What currency are charters quoted in?
Whole-boat charters and shared cabins are published in USD. Park fees and local levies are paid in IDR.
Do I pay extra for guests above 20?
Yes, up to the 22-guest maximum. On the 2026 card that is USD 350 per additional guest on 2D1N, USD 400 on 3D2N, USD 450 on 4D3N and 5D4N, and USD 500 on 6D5N. On the 2027 card it is USD 400 on 2D1N, USD 450 on 3D2N, USD 550 on 4D3N, USD 600 on 5D4N and USD 650 on 6D5N.
