Luxury Liveaboard for Groups & Celebrations: Layout and Pricing

Magika hosts group charters from 5 to 22 guests across nine cabins, with rates banded at 1-5, 6-10, 11-15 and 16-20 people. A 20-guest group on a 6D5N charter pays USD 13,850 for the vessel — about USD 139 per person per night including all meals, guide and crew. Indoor and outdoor dining, a lounge, a sundeck and a sound system cover most celebration needs.

Why the cabin mix decides your group size

Nine cabins do not mean eighteen guests. Magika’s berth arithmetic is uneven by design, and that unevenness is what makes it work for real groups where not everyone wants the same room:

  • Master Ocean: king plus trundle, up to 3, with a private balcony and bathtub
  • Signature Ocean: queen plus trundle, up to 3
  • Three Deluxe Ocean: queen, 2 each
  • Family: king plus two single bunks, up to 4
  • Two Superior: two single bunks, 2 each
  • Studio: two single beds, 2

Total: 22. The practical consequence is that a group of 12 sleeps comfortably in six cabins with three spare, while a group of 20 uses nearly every trundle and bunk.

The number that surprises most organisers is the last column. Because the vessel rate is flat within each band, the cost per head falls sharply as the group grows — from roughly USD 283 per person per night at eight guests to about USD 139 at twenty. Twelve is the point where most groups stop feeling the price.

Honest limits

Twenty-two guests on a 26.74-metre hull with six crew is a full boat. The crew ratio at that load is 1:3.7, which is efficient rather than pampering. If your group expects individual cabin service, or a legally solemnised wedding at sea, or a spa, this is not the right vessel — and the operator’s top-tier yacht charters in Komodo exist precisely for that requirement, at a very different price point.

Best for…

  • Corporate retreats of 12-20. The per-head economics are unbeatable at that size, and the lounge works as a meeting space.
  • Multi-family holidays. The Family cabin plus bunk Superiors solves the children question without splitting the party.
  • Milestone birthdays and anniversaries. Deck dining, sound system and a balcony cabin for the guest of honour.
  • Dive clubs. Pair this page with the diving rate grid on whole-boat pricing by season.

Deposit terms are on rates, deposit and cancellation policy; cabin detail is on the suite plan and crew ratio page; everything else is at the Magika FAQ hub.

Frequently asked questions

How many people can Magika host for a group charter?

Up to 22 guests across nine cabins. Charter rates are banded at 1-5, 6-10, 11-15 and 16-20 guests, with a per-person supplement above 20.

What is the cheapest per-person price for a group?

At 16-20 guests on a 6D5N charter, USD 13,850 divided across 20 guests is about USD 693 per person for five nights, or roughly USD 139 per person per night.

Can we hold a birthday or anniversary on board?

Yes. The vessel has indoor and outdoor dining, a lounge, a sundeck and a sound system. Discuss decoration and special requests with reservations before departure.

How should a group of 16 be allocated across the cabins?

A workable split is Master (2), Signature (2), three Deluxe (6), Family (4) and one Superior (2). That leaves one Superior and the Studio free as spare space.

Can we get married on board?

The vessel can host a celebration, but legal marriage formalities in Indonesia are handled ashore. Treat an onboard ceremony as a symbolic event and plan the paperwork separately.

Is there a supplement for going over 20 guests?

Yes: USD 350 per extra person on 2D1N, USD 400 on 3D2N, USD 450 on 4D3N and 5D4N, and USD 500 on 6D5N.

Do groups get the boat to themselves?

On a private charter, yes. Shared departures put you on a manifest with other travellers at USD 310-520 per person for 3D2N.

How far ahead should a group book?

For peak July-August dates, several months. The operator offers a year-advance schedule of 30% upfront, 20% at 120 days and the balance 30 days before departure.
